History of Babulnath Temple
Back in 1780, a cow belonging to a shepherd used to come here daily and pour all its milk onto the ground. The shepherd noticed this and informed the villagers. They decided to dig at the spot, and during the excavation, they found a self-manifested (swayambhu) Shivling. The villagers then decided to build a grand and divine temple here. The temple’s architecture is beautifully designed, and you can also see replicas of Kashi Vishwanath and other temples here.
